Registration Policy
27th SMS Annual International Conference
October 14-17, 2007
The Registration Fee Includes:
- Access to all pre-Conference and Conference Sessions
- Opening Reception on Sunday night
- Luncheons on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- Dinner Event on Monday Evening
- Cocktail Reception on Tuesday Evening
- Program Booklet with Abstracts for all Presented Proposals
- SMS Membership for 2008
Attendance Policy:
- Conference registration is required to attend any of the conference activities.
- Registrants must wear their name badge at all time to gain access to activities
Payments:
- Pre-Registration fees apply to registrations & payments received by May 17, 2007.
- Early Registration fees apply to registrations & payments received after May 17 but before Aug 31, 2007
- Registrations sent without all required information or without payment will not be processed.
Cancellation Policy:
- We understand that unforeseen events may change a person's ability to attend the conference. Due to costs already incurred, NO REFUNDS will be made for cancellation of your registration. But, if you are registered and are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to a colleague within your organization or to your co-author. See below for guidelines.
Transfer of Registration:
- Initiate a transfer by contacting the SMS Executive Office BEFORE September 14, 2007.
- If the conference registration fee is greater (i.e. member fee to non-member fee, etc.), the person to whom the registration is being transferred must pay the difference between the original registrants fee and their fee
- Complimentary SMS membership, which is included in the conference registration fee, will transfer to the new attendee.
- Transfers will NOT be accepted after September 14, 2007.
- Emergency transfers, due to health conditions, will be permitted ONLY with confirmed contact with SMS Executive Office between September 17 and October 5, 2007. No emergency transfers will be permitted after October 5, 2007.
- Absolutely no onsite transfers of registration will be allowed.
Student Registration and Membership:
For SMS membership and conference registration purposes, students are individuals who are enrolled full-time, in-residence at the PhD granting institution. Individuals can be members in the SMS on student status for not longer than 5 years.
The following must be submitted for 1st year student status:
- Proof of enrollment from the PhD granting institution.
- Confirmation letter from major professor
